Jody Harris, Director of Catering and Senior Event Planner brings over 15 years of experience to Shanes Gourmet Market & Catering. She started her career in event planning at UNICEF in Calgary, Canada where she planned numerous fundraising events for this international non-profit agency. Jody specialized in charity and gala events with one of her selected achievements overseeing a gala raising over $100,000 at a single event. To this day, it serves as a benchmark for UNICEF Canada.
Prior to joining Shanes Gourmet Market & Catering, Jody created the first Corporate Concierge business in Calgary servicing the needs of over 3,000 employees representing 20 different companies. It is through this experience she adopted the “whatever-the-client-wants” attitude. Working with many upscale caterers gave her valuable insight into the level of expectation required of a catering client. Demanding, perfectionist and relentlessly precise are all attributes that describe her work ethic.
Her exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities makes her feel comfortable dealing with a variety of audiences. She brings excellent business and social graces required of this industry. Jody has been with Shane’s since December, 2001.
